Area Sales Manager – Finance Professions – South of England


Salary up to £50,000, OTE £80,000, uncapped 1 year monthly commission pay. Plus a company car and all the usual big company benefits.

Our client, a leading finance company for whom we recruited as early as 2001 and placed the Sales Manager to whom this role reports, is recruiting a new Regional Sales Manager position to focus on drafting financial deals with the following sectors.

  • Nursing homes
  • funeral directors
  • Pharmacists
  • Architects

Our client already has a national sales team, but the bulk of this team is focused on dentistry, veterinarians and opticians. This role covering southern England and Wales is hired to build on the tactical success already in the above sectors.

The role will be 100% new business but our client is part of a large financial group with significant resources to deploy both in terms of marketing and lead generation.

However, this is a role for a genuine new business hunter who is happy to make 20 cold calls a day every day to generate leads and then has the willpower when you see a client to walk away. nearby potential prospects.

If it sounds old fashioned it really isn’t, it works, you’ll be surprised how a quick chat with a receptionist in a large care home can reveal that they are considering a major expansion and you suddenly have an opportunity to progress by £200,000.

2/3 of our clients’ business is loans and they will finance everything from building work in a nursing home, to beds, to automatic storage machines in pharmacies, to covering taxes, VAT and IP for their customers.

You can expect a realistic target of £4million for the first year, reflecting the new commercial nature of the position. The average deal size for our clients across their business is £35,000, but deals in care homes can easily reach £300,000 or more.

You will be tasked with achieving a profit target based on the total value of the trade taking into account the IRR sale, term, etc. To put this into perspective, our clients typically lend long term at rates ranging from 6% to 12%+ but at thinner margins for short term tax and VAT loans.

You will receive a monthly commission on each transaction concluded. The commission is completely uncapped. Once you reach your annual goals, volume bonuses are applied.

Candidate profile

To apply you must live in the South of England or possibly South Wales.

Our preferred candidate will have a background in sales from financial professions, but we are very happy to receive applications from strong generalists in asset finance.

Exceptionally, our client is also willing to consider applications from those selling other services in the 4 markets this role focuses on. Even if you have NO experience in the financial sector, if you have a new business record of selling in any of these 4 markets and you are bright and able to count and can be trained in finance, talk -we.

In this case, the starting salary might be below the £50,000 cap, but the commission plan and uncapped earning potential would be exactly the same.

Whatever your background you need to be a true new business hunter who gets up every day willing to phone and make those calls to grow your customer base, of course over time you will retain and manage the customers you you will win and so the role will become a mix of new V enterprise account management.
