SAN ANTONIO (March 1, 2022) – The City of San Antonio is seeking candidates for two Citizen Member positions on the Goal Setting Committee (GSC) for a one-year term. The GSC was created by the Small Business Economic Development Promotion Ordinance (SBEDA) to establish ambitious, segmented and contract-specific tools to promote the use of local small businesses, minorities and women on City of San Antonio contracts/projects.

The GSC is chaired by a representative of the City Manager and includes staff members from the Economic Development Department (EDD), the Finance Department-Purchasing Department, and a representative of the management from which the contract/project is initiated. Two citizen members also sit on the CMC and vote when reviewing contracts/projects over $3 million and when setting ambitious annual goals.
